The work presented on this page operates at the intersection of artistic research and applied everyday architecture. Philosophical and artistic methods are integrated in order to develop research frameworks aimed at contributing to a deeper understanding of the creative potential of the human being—through the design of space and embodied movement.

The focus lies on transmission mechanisms within performative processes, linking bodily movement, image, sign, and language—processes that reflect and negotiate different approaches to reality. This leads to critical examinations of media, particularly digital technologies used in contemporary architectural design processes. Special attention is given to media definitions that overlook the role and configuration of bodily techniques.

The presented works are situated within the context of academic research and teaching, but also extend into museums, galleries, and experimental studio environments. The poetic and artistic motivation behind these practice-based research approaches is always implicitly present in the development of concrete architectural design methods, concepts, and diagrams.

Although a seamless transition between artistic foundational research and applied architecture is rarely possible—due to the predominance of service-oriented logic, economic interests, and complex participatory processes—we are committed to placing the insights gained through our artistic research on the human being and their multifaceted relationship to the living environment at the center of our design practice.
